The A.C. was charged with planning & designing a week-long architecture firm design competition for racial equity-based architecture firms across the nation to propose designs for the residents of Fort Worth to provide feedback to the redesign of a former local KKK headquarters into a community center. In addition to the design competition, The A.C. designed and co-facilitated two community feedback sessions for residents to engage with the architects and their proposed design concepts. Our biggest win? We did it all in 30 days 😎
During the AC’s contract to support this organization with their Strategic Intention Planning Session, we were asked to facilitate a healing & restoration conversation around a particular goal in their plan. The healing & restoration sessions, facilitated in May & June 2024, have supported the organization with getting clear about their organization’s preferred theoretical frameworks regarding issues such as an abolitionist approach to policing & surveillance, specifically in regards to their building ~ The Community Justice Center.

Team conflict resolution & mediation support for Mama Sana Vibrant Woman which included the creation of a maintenance ritual for staff, board members, and community members. This process was complemented with creating an onboarding policy & procedure for the organization
Strategic coaching for Community Lattice Consulting to ensure company projects are not extractive to Black & Brown communities. This included creating policies & procedures that reinforce an anti-white supremacist approach to management and developing internal tools for company hiring processes
Project management and organizational development support for The Black United Fund of Texas for a 2 year grant provided by the Environmental Protection Agency to implement green tech & urban agriculture projects in Houston’s Fifth Ward
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Report and Action Plan creation for the staff & board members of Amphibian Stage
